What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

Regardless of what Brussels expected, people are feeling disenfranchised by the current order.
There's a trend toward conservative values, reasonable immigration levels, and nationalism is making a comeback.
People vote for change when the system is broke, look at the US, Austria and now Italy.

Meanwhile in Austria...

Quote:Turkey furious as Austria plans to expel up to 60 imams

Austria said on Friday it could expel up to 60 Turkish-funded imams and their families and would shut down seven mosques as part of a crackdown on "political Islam", triggering fury in Ankara.

"The circle of people possibly affected by these measures - the pool that we're talking about - comprises around 60 imams," said Interior Minister Herbert Kickl of the far-right Freedom Party (FPÖ), the junior partner in Austria's coalition government.

Kickl was referring to imams with alleged links to the Turkish-Islamic Cultural Associations (ATIB) organisation, a branch of Turkey's religious affairs agency Diyanet.

The interior minister added that the government suspects them of contravening a ban on foreign funding of religious office holders.

Good. Kick their asses out. ISIS is dead, why aren't they going home to help rebuild?
