Earthquake with preliminary reading of 6.1 strikes southeast of Tonga - USGS

A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck southeast of the Pacific island nation of Tonga at 19.31 New Zealand time, the US Geological Survey said.

The quake hit 277 kms (172.12 miles) south-southeast of the capital Nuku'alofa at a depth of 66 kms, the USGS said.

Japanese city covered in mysterious foam after earthquake
The strange foam was spotted in the southern Japanese city of Fukuoka, around 90km from the epicentre of the earthquake

Yes, and not getting alot of news is the number of volcanoes being set into eruption as well in proximity to them. 38 erupting presently.
