Oh man, I have some lean beef burgers on the grill smelling perhaps a bit too good. They're so lean I fried up some bacon to throw on top of the cheese.

Next time you grind up some beef for burgers you should grind up some bacon with it.

No, I've never done it, but the only way you can go wrong with bacon is by not cooking enough.

We've been simmering in the backyard all day, weeding and mowing. The neighbor came over to borrow the mower and have some homebrew, his first taste. He came over a second time an hour later to ask for details on how to make that brew. beerbong.gif

None better than homebrew. I don't make as much as I use to, but that's because I started making honey mead. I love beer, but I'd rather drink honey mead.

Will try that sometime. Got the beef already ground though, not that it was on sale for €1.99 a pound or anything, we just roll like that. Gourmét style y'all know. coffeetime.gif

Ooo, brew of ye olde norse gods.hi5.gif Love to make some, but honey is so incredibly expensive here and since you're turning sugar into alcohol anyway we figured we do it cheap. chuckle.gif Our neighbor (who came over for the 3rd time today lol) is getting his brewing kit tomorrow. lmao.gif

I'm gonna have to give mead another try. I had a gallon brewing one time and my wench threw it out. She thought it looked weird.

I think I will definitely get back into brewing beer in a few months. It has been a long time for me too.

Oh it's all in a can, barley malt and hops. Add water and sugar. The instructions say that according to Finnish law you can't put more than 900 grams of sugar in it, and fine upstanding citizens as we are we wouldn't even dream of putting anything close to 2 kilos in there because that would make it too strong. 13.gif

I wish I could send you some of this heat Rog. It's 11:35am here and already 90F/32C. It sucks when there is no ac. I don't know how I survived as a kid in the south with no ac.

I use raw honey and the most important thing is sterlizing the honey, with out pasturizing it, to kill any natural yeast and bacteria. If interested I have a great recipe.
