My son said recently "Mom, I'm glad you don't know half the things we did as kids". They mostly hung out in the woods playing with sticks and stones chuckle.gif

So am I, I replied. whew.gif

My son and his girlfriend are relocating as we speak. Their university ed starts in a couple of weeks. hi5.gif

Good morning, Octo. How are you this fine day? hug.gif

And, no, I would never spend that much on gym clothes...other types of clothes, such as party dresses, I have done so in the past.

Doing just fine. Soaked up some sun in the backyard accompanied by an ice cold beer. Got to accumulate some vitamin D before dark season.

The most expensive piece of clothing I ever got was a red silk gown for some €300. I still have it, I go for classic stuff so I can wear it for years. lmao.gif

Yeah, we'll be heading out to catch some rays too before the dark season is upon us, which will be soon.

When I first started working I would buy very expensive dresses, shoes, purses and jewellery - to make up a complete outfit, but then I worked in high level corporate offices and partied at night in uppercrust night spots (and lived at home and didn't pay for anything). Ah, the good ole days of not being financially responsible. :daydream:

You really need to be president or at least own a bank to be a grownup without financial responsibility these days.

I suppose the parents of the girl that spent $1000 on gym clothes allowed her to do so, so perhaps to them $1000 is not alot of money.

For me, only if they came with a 1000$ gift certificate.

Gyms now are the new meat markets.
These people dress to the hilt and walk around with perfect hair and make up, to meet people.
She's 16..there are boys involved I am sure.

Haven't been to a gym in 15 years and back then it was a gym run by ladies for the ladies.

I'd probably be traumatized going to a gym today. We have a free outdoors gym and a track right outside the door basically and I'll lift logs for free in sweaty clothes any day instead of some bullshit posing.
