Quote:run by D.C. government that enlists private investors to help the city recover unpaid taxes.

The same investors that contribute campaign dollars. The city gets their $134, the incumbent gets re-elected with a cash kick-back and the private co gets the $200k property.

I have never liked the fact that the taxman can take

someones property for such a small amount,,,and

these cases are extremely brutal,,,since they can

take the property,,,if it has the equity,,,seems they

could work out a loan for some of that with a bank,,,

or force instead a reverse mortgage,,,they don't need

to do this this way,,,apply a little compassion,,,and

still get their tax money,,,to pay their buddies...

i don't want to be rude but when you think about society and how it works you'll find out that you literally own nothing but your money which is worth nothing. lol
bought a nice condo? you own it as long as you're able to pay the taxes. if you can't afford the taxes -> compulsory auction -> money.

the only thing you really own is a worthless piece of paper.

and with a reverse mortgage one of the points of the contract is that all property taxes are STILL the mortagees responsibility

Totally unnecessary class separation greed driven from out of our cradles and into our graves forced to run the evil gauntlet of the governments soul shattering rat race to acquire evermore temporary illusions that only wither and fade and return back into the stardust from where they came and homelessnes and imprisonment and death await those who dont willingly adhere to their fear and terror filled sinister demands and wont robotically comply with their diabolical war laced commands...

I do know about the law enough to say cases like these are a slam dunk for the defendants if they get them in a court.
Don't take this shït, you must fight for you.

I have to say in defense of this socialist commie bastard country that such a service is available free of charge at any time here. Consumer ombudsman is what they call it I think. The previous one we had before she retired was a freakin gem. I talked to her several times, she said she wished more people were as awful as me and we'd actually accomplish change. chuckle.gif

yeah,,,the taxes are always the mortgagees responsibility,,,

but the reverse gives the money to pay them,,,hopefully,,,

of course if money is borrowed from a bank,,,the taxes as

well as the insurance will be paid from escrow,,,as the banks

make sure their butttts are covered,,,so to get into trouble,,,

you have to almost own it outright,,,means you have lots of

equity to draw from...

Whoa that is a harsh penalty!

The article says the 76 year old man is suffering from dementia. So he loses his house??

Surely, the city could get its money without going to that extreme.

Pray for me. hug.gif
