I haven't decided yet what to do with this lamb roast. We had planned on slow cooking which we haven't tried before, but not sure. We both like our lamb pink inside and I don't know how slow cooking would render this meat. hmm.gif

Anybody here tried to slow cook lamb? drinking.gif

chuckle.gif A lot of Americans don't eat lamb and some who've tried describe it as gamey. wtf2.gif Whatever that means.

I'm not sure what you mean by slow-cooking ~ to me that includes a crock pot. (?)

Frankly, I'd roast a roast. chuckle.gif

I like lamb (even mutton) a lot and can't find it as often as I'd like here in the deep south. gaah.gif

What I usually come up with are shoulder pieces and chops ~ those I just braise and eat with rice or potatoes and the normal veggies.

If you are thinking crock pot, I'd use lesser pieces than a roast ~ it would all get 'boiled' I would think, unless you are doing it with no water? Beyond that I have no clue.

Sounds yummy though ~ Enjoy! cheers.gif

It doesn't taste like chicken. chuckle.gif

I used to gravitate toward Greek & Moroccan cuisine because I was such a fan of lamb. For whatever reason a lot of people in the US just don't care for it. You're right Daj, it doesn't taste like chicken. chuckle.gif

Yeah I think I'll go for roasting. The tricky part is getting it out of the oven at the exact right temperature. It goes pretty quickly the last few degrees and rises another 5 after you take it out so paying attention is important. beerbong.gifchuckle.gif

Put it into the CrockPot. Add about half a cup of liquid. Squeeze the juice of the lemon overtop too. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
