I just posted a picture of my travels around India about eighteen months ago. I've just got back in the last month as I spent a year in Australia. Whilst in India I went to a place called Ladakh which is around eleven thousand feet. The road to this place is one of the worst in the world. It took us three attempts to cross it. On the first attempt I took lots of pictures but this one stood out the most. I took several at the same time in colour and then several in black and white. The ones in colour show nothing but the one in black and white shows what appears to be some kind of ship in the sky. I have just uploaded it onto Image shack and the picture is slightly smaller than what comes up on my computer but it is still fairly good. I took it with a camera that is 12 m/p. Very strange area. The actual town we visited can only be accessed three months of the year from the Indian side and is connected directly with Tibet. I'm not sure how accessible it is from Tibet because I never visited there but after we left we headed to Dharmsala where The Delhi Lama resides and the town is full of Tibetans who crossed over into India from Ley/Ladakh. Most of them lost limbs due to the cold just to escape the Chinese repression.

Take what you will from the photo. I can post more up in the next day or so but as I said the colour ones show nothing.

Strange object

If anyone knows a better site please let me know as the picture is still not as clear as when I bring it up on my computer.

Didn't even notice it until a month or two later when we were flicking through our photos. It was a clear day, blue sky, a few whisps of cloud and nothing in the sky. All the colour photos, and I'll put one up now to show you, showed nothing. Only the black and white one. It is a weird area. We were at the top of a pass and the road was leveling out but on that particular occasion were unable to get through because the snow covered the road and the five of us had hired out a crappy Indian jeep that couldn't hack it. At the time I was travelling for around two years and I think it was when I was in Jakarta when I first noticed it.

Truly amazing! cheers.gif That doesn't look anything like the traditional UFO. If you'd like you can upload the original as an attachment. It will show with perfect clarity, Id love to see it!
That is one of the most impressive photos of this nature I've ever seen.

Same sky just a hundred feet further down and in colour

I was at a friends a few weeks ago and we got talking about the photo. I'm glad you managed to blow it up a little as the actual quality is good when I view it on the camera. As you can see from the colour photo it is the same mountain pass just further down but nothing in the sky. I think it must have been between ten to eleven thousand feet.

Certainly I can although I'm pretty crap with computers so if want the photo in good quality you'll have to explain how I can do it. Seriously I just use the computer to check emails and read....Can we do it like an email attachment?

one other thing I forgot to mention. The place where we stayed when we tried out three times to tackle the Ley/Ladakh road is called Manali and we were some of the first tourists there in 2010 for the summer season. We couldn't cross the mountain pass because we tried to early. whatever it is in the picture is actually moving away from the region we headed for. It is cutting across to the place we came. If any one of you get an opportunity go check the region out. I'm actually writing a book about my travels at the minute and learnt recently on wikipedia what name of the town we stayed in - Manali - actually means;

Manali is named after the Hindu lawgiver Manu. The word Manali is regarded as the changed name of "Manu-Alaya" which literally means "the abode of Manu".[3] Legend has it that sage Manu stepped off his ark in Manali to recreate human life after a great flood had deluged the world. Manali is also often referred to as the "Valley of the Gods". The Old Manali village has an ancient temple dedicated to sage Manu

When I read that it blew me away.

Talk about synchronicity, I had just said to Octo "it looks like something the Hindu Gods would fly around in."
I'm speechless.

Thanks, they're awesome. We're checking it out.

This one is just cut out of your original photo without adjustments other than doubling the size.

It's definitely an unidentified flying object damned.gif

I can see exactly what it looks like by modeling it in 3d. I'll do that and get it uploaded tomorrow. It's a very exciting picture, the craft is obviously aerodynamic.
Was Shambhala nearby? chuckle.gif
