You could try turmeric which is not dangerous to your health and have strong anti-inflammatory properties.
Curcumae rhizoma (Turmeric root) 1-3 g 3 times a day. Sprinkled over food or however you want it.
You can gradually increase the dose to up to 20 grams if you can handle it.
Also cut out sugar completely from your diet.
And stick to a Mediterranean diet, it should be fairly easy for you.

I take fresh ginger mixed with fruits as I've been told it helps.
So you mean powder [processed] Turmeric? Guess fresh would be better if I find it.
