Theres nothing new under the sun...

Dale Bozzio, who was born in my home state of massachusetts, from the new wave band Missing Persons, was the original outlandishly off the wall sexy fashion diva,25 years before Lady Gaga arrived on the music scene and Dale was just as hot as Gaga, maybe even more so and when Dale was 20 years old,she was named Boston Playboy Club Bunny of the Year in 1975...

So why is Lady Gaga making mega million$ and Dale Bozzio and Missing Persons didnt? and if they appeared on the music scene now would they?

"Life is so strange, when you dont know
How can you tell, where you're going to?
You cant be sure,of any situation
Something could change and then you wont know
Where do we go from here?
It seems so all too near
Just as far beyond as i can see
I still dont know what this all means to me
I have nowhere to go
I dont know what to do
And I don't even know the time of day
I guess it doesnt matter any way
Life is so strange"

Destination Unknown - Missing Persons - 1982

"Do you hear me,do you care?
My lips are moving and the sounds coming out
The words are audible but i have my doubt
That you realize, what has been said
You look at me as if you're in a daze
Its like the feeling at the end of a page
When you realize, you dont know what you just read
I might as well go up and talk to a wall
Cause all the words are having no effect at all
No one notices,i think i'll dye my hair blue"

"Give me love, give me love, give me peace on earth
Give me light, give me life, keep me free from birth
Give me hope, help me cope, with this heavy load
Trying to,touch and reach you, with heart and soul"

"Keep me free from birth" wow, thats some seriously "deep" lyrics and think about what that actually means...

Every night i have the same old dream
About you and me and whats in between
So many changes,so many lies
Try to run,try to hide
From everything that i feel inside
But i can't escape you,or your frozen eyes
Searching in the darkness
Fading out of sight
Love was here and gone like a thief in the night
Stone cold,i thought i knew you so well
Stone cold, cant break away from your spell"

Stone Cold - Rainbow - 1982 >

"I heard the sound of voices in the night
Spellbound there was someone calling
I looked around no one was in sight
Pulled down i just kept on falling
I've seen this place before
You were standing by my side
I've seen your face before tonight
Maybe i just see what i want it to be
I know it's a mystery
Do you remember me?
On the street of dreams"

Ladies and gentlemen, this is classic timelessness...

My favorite Jethro Tull song...

"Happy and I'm smiling, walk a mile to drink your water
You know i'd love to love you and above you theres no other
We'll go walking out, while others shout of wars disaster
Oh,we wont give in,lets go living in the past
Once I used to join in,every boy and girl was my friend
Now theres revolution, but they dont know what they're fighting
Let us close our eyes, outside their lives go on much faster
Oh,we wont give in,we'll keep living in the past"

What a beautiful singing voice...

"You were the sunshine baby, whenever you smiled
But i call you stormy today
All of a sudden that old rains falling down
And my world is cloudy and gray
You've gone away
Oh stormy,oh stormy
Bring back that sunny day
Yesterdays love was like a warm summer breeze
But like the weather you changed"

That is truly awesomeness, one of me absolute favorites. Agreed the guitar was way ahead of it's time, but the harmonies they sang that had no major or minor designation were a real breakthrough. Just love the feel and vibe to it.
Another of my faves from the same era...
