I have not said anything before now, but we lost our dear Lilly about a month and a half ago.

She lost her battle with a face full of tumors and age (She was about 14.) He body rests in our back yard and she is once again able to chase squirrels and eat sticks. he will always be remembered as the smartest dog I have ever owned and she will be missed.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

But with every action there is an equal and opposite reaction!

Meet Freki!

She is another rescue fur baby. We got her less than 24 hours before she was going to be euthanized.

As you can see, she fit right in!

Here she is sleeping with Freyja.

And here is my toasted marshmallow Oreo.

Thanks! It wasn't as bad as I feared it would be. She had been sick for a very long time and it was harder watching her suffer than letting her go.

Freki is a sweetie. She is a very loving, and energetic, pup. She was scared and timid at first but quickly made herself at home. Luckily she is only about a year old so it was easy to get her used to her new name. (We had no idea what her previous name was. She former owners had put her out...

The name we chose for her was very fitting. She is starving ALL THE TIME!

How did you choose the name Freyja for one of the pups?

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.

Freyja is a Norse goddess, Freki is one of Odin's wolves. (The other being Geri.) Now I need a white, male dog to name Baldr.

I have had a lifelong interest in the ancient Norse/Germanic religious beliefs.

Thank you.

While that's true, I was relieved when she passed. She had suffered for a long time.

The three we have now are trained pretty well. I say, "Come on, bitches." (Even when I'm sitting down.) and they all run to the back door to go play fetch.

Man, I have been there more times than I care to recall. But, as you know, there's always room for another one or two.

Cheers to the fur babies!
