Quote:"A U.S.-led research team may have finally located the lost city of Atlantis, the legendary metropolis believed swamped by a tsunami thousands of years ago in mud flats in southern Spain."

"To solve the age-old mystery, the team used a satellite photo of a suspected submerged city to find the site just north of Cadiz, Spain. There, buried in the vast marshlands of the Dona Ana Park, they believe that they pinpointed the ancient, multi-ringed dominion known as Atlantis."

It sends chills down the spine to think what could be found buried under all that sediment. If Plato's descriptions were accurate they had some fairly advanced technology going on.
Of course it's doubtful much survived, god knows none of our present day tech could hold up more than a few hundred years.

the Tech was mostly done with Crystals, and Plasma was the fuel for most of the Flying Craft.

The City in Spain, at best, may be a small settlement of some of the Remnants of Atlantis.

But NOT Atlantis the Continent .

Cadiz is also one of the Ancient sites of a Phoenician Port.

Im not sure I can believe in this lost city of atlantis thing. What Ive read about it doesnt add up to what could have happened. Some say it lifted off towards space, some say it sank. I just cant believe either one. More likely their neighbors wiped them out to advance their own civilization. Ill bet that Long Island is actually the site of the real atalantislol.gif

coffeetime.gif Morning Rapture wave.gif A few long island ice teas and your're gonna' sink like Atlantis thats for sure! Plato described it as an island, interesting there is a Phoenician Port nearby Rog, from the same era the early Hebrews were bring back gold from South America and the States?
I agree its probably NOT Atlantis, but there are some exciting possibilities, nice to read about something interesting besides Nuclear doom.

there is no way this could be Atlantis according to Plato's descriptions, but a ringed city sure does seem intriguing from an archeological standpoint.

nice find, i missed this.

I dont know, I like the nuclear doom stories. It's funny to see how they are building it up as some kind of nuclear armageddon. It's funny to me that when Chernobyl went, or 3 Mile Island for that matter, the radiation wasn't really significant here. Especially with 3 Mile, since I live in NY. That never affected us, that I can remember anyway. So now we get stories of radiation floating through the atmosphere, waiting to rain down on the rest of the world. Its shitty that they have to deal with it in Japan, although my girl thinks its just Mother Nature evening out the overpopulation problem they have. That may be, Im just looking forward to all the people who assume that the world is gonna glow in the dark afterwards lol.gif

All whom assume that the world is gonna glow in the dark afterwards are in for a bit of a disappointment. 37.gif naw, I was in Indiana at the time, no big deal. This MAY be kind of a biggie, I don't know, once again I doubt it.
