Lost one of our cats...

I know this isn't the kind of place to discuss such things, but after letting my brother's daughter (Alicia) stay at our house for the last four days we came home after doing some running around to find our cat 'Midnight' missing and the back door left wide open. Normally Midnight would have little desire to go outside but with six kids and a dog that is chasing her around, it wouldn't be too surprising for her to run out of the house while trying to get away for their dog.

Midnight is mostly my Mom's cat, but I also have some emotional investment in her too as I did buy her toys as a kitten, played with her, and on occasion feed and/or took her to the vet as well. Some people see dogs and cats as mere pets, but sometimes they are a bit like family and to imagine a family member getting chased out of their own home due to the negligence of a supposed friend or relative and then have them laugh at your loss is unacceptable.

Sorry I just had to get that out.... gaah.gif

Mine came back after being gone 3 months, so maybe best not to get to upset.

Have you checked under the car seats? In the engine compartment? In the vents in the dashboard?

Here's a Thought ,
If a Feline , finds a Pork Rhine on a Bus line ,
is it considered sublime for the feline to dine on the Rhine ?
will the feline shine ?
or ,,,
is that all in your Mind ?

My advice, because one of my cats does that often as I keep bringing in or babysitting other cats. What we do is wait until it is quiet in the evening, then go out and call the cat in a high pitched, quiet voice. It always works. Good luck.

Pffft ,,,

simple , pour the fluid from a can of Tuna on your sneakers , go out for a Walk .

when you get back home , grab whichever of the 30 cats that is your's and go inside .

SOLVED

Take that fishy advice and wear a mouse costume on your walk.

Or just do what I did when my cat ran away. Nothing. After a week I threw away the litter box. I'll never have another, he was bringing squirrels and birds to the door. They are all serial killers to one degree or another. Charming when they need be, angels when food is involved, in true psychopath form.
