I feel left out.

I live in Georgia, not all that far from Ft. Stewart (it borders about 70% of the county I live in) and I heard nada.

Interesting. That kinda rules out that as a source of these booms.

Yeah ~ I had all the windows open and was in and out around the house all morning ~ I should have heard/felt something.

Fort Gordon is due north of me, about a hundred miles or so.

Found this. Not sure if the site is legit or not but where I grew up in the U.K the army would issue statements when they were testing and we would hear sonic booms. What is interesting is if one inputs 'sonic boom in georgia' into google. Seems like you guys get a lot of testing over the years.

That's where I went to basic Training.

These strange and frightening sounds have been heard for centuries and probably longer all over the world, sometimes called ghost cannons and mistpouffers and i have heard them several times...

They might be stealthed flying saucers creating sonic booms when they enter into our reality from another dimension while accelerating into and deacceleraing out of light speed, while either being driven by super advanced aliens and or they're robotic drone probes flown by remote control...

I'm concerned that these BOOMS and noises are the BEDROCK giving way. Will there be cve-ins in these areas too? #SINKHOLES are a posibility when a void in the soil bedrock migrates upward over time. Eventually, you wind up with a fairly thin soil point, and then it collapses. The BOOMS could be bedroc giving way below.

Thats an excellent theory and a frightening one as well that i never thought of or read or heard before, wow, just imagine miles wide and miles deep sink holes suddenly appearing and opening up with a terrible roar and swallowing entire towns and cities whole, which is very possible, considering there surely exists massive subterranean caverns all over the place far beneath us...

Another frightening theory that i thought of a few years ago is that some of the strange and ominous sounds could be massive underwater landslides caused by huge sections of the continental shelves slowly breaking away and then suddenly collapsing and falling down into the oceans aquatic abyss, happening too deep to cause noticeable tsunamis, but still able to create sonic shock waves of rumbling sounds that travel up through the water and earth...

Sink holes are happening in the thousands already
but it does dove tail with The US navy and Edgar Cayce maps of the US, right about where the inland sea runs
is where most sink holes are happening
the bed rock giving in is a most possible scenario, there is evidence it has happened before
the littoral is littered with underwater ruins, and there are legends and myths as old as Atlantis
this year we are in a most incredible place in space we are the in center of the galaxy
our planets are in never seen before alignments
we are having celestial visitors almost every week or less
this sudden gravities from no where most with out a doubt be effecting the Solar system
we missed the Solar Maximum or we are still waiting for it to come is been a little over the 11 yr period she is late, beware the ides of March

1. A local phenomenon (it wasn't heard elsewhere in the state.)
2. A military fighter can't go supersonic for long (less than 30 minutes).
3. USGS reports no action (recent earthquakes were west of the Mississippi).

Some backyard experimenter or a oddity of nature looks like your best bet.

Oddity of nature is what is so intriguing. A backyard experiment in a small community, as Gumby describes, would have been known by now.
