I would imagine with the allspice and bechemel sauce that it would overpower any other tastes.

Why? Octo said is is jello-like and I have no problem eating jello.

The guy on the vid likes it...he said it's buttery...yummy.

She also said: "I think it's the texture more than the flavor of lutefisk that most people have issues with." I don't have a problem with jello either, but maybe the smell and texture combined is a bit much unless you're used to it.

I think you should order some and try it! I double dog dare you chuckle.gif

If I am ever in Spokane and they got it going on...I certainly will try it.

I don't think I said it was jello-like? 13.gif Although it can turn into that if you don't cook it right. Its reputation is way worse than the dish itself I have to say. chuckle.gif

I'd try it too, but the idea of it being soaked in lye is what makes me go ewww.

Ok it's a bit Viking style, it's really that old way of food preparation, but YOLO.

Like dried smoked salmon here, it's fishy and with little flavor and texture of kindling. But it lasted.

"Well, the lutefisk worked, stuck it under the porch and the racoons went away, the problem is, there's a Finnish family living under there now."

Maybe I'm a bad Finlander,
but my official line here is still:
- Only at gun point.

"Fish Jello" pretty much nails it :retch:

As a matter of fact, my Dad and Octo are
the only 2 people I ever met who seemed
to honestly like it.
