I was sitting at my computer desk and this guy swooped past the window. I took this picture through the window. This is a Turkey Vulture.

A huge one, his wingspan was least 8 feet.

Three flaps of his wings and he was airborne and gliding away.

That's pretty much as big as our sea eagles over here, biggest bird of Finland:

Big old birdie. Reminds me of the bald eagles that lived near us in Wisconsin.

They pass overhead right here, a coupla town blocks away from downtown,
every now and then, on their inland raids.

I'm pretty sure bald eagles are in the vulture family. That's why they have their size and gripping ability. I wouldn't be surprised if you eagles are also.
