Perhaps branding would be more appropriate? Or and RFID chip?

The only Tattoo I need is this one. So damn helpful that dude is...

How will a tattoo help in case something happens to them? gaah.gif

A microchip would have been more humane. 13.gif

I once received a tattoo from my (like a wild wolf) puppy in the shape and form of several fang marks on my hand (*-*)

I hate people .
Animals are tattooed all the time,at shelters .They too are for identification, but they are small, very small, and done while the animal is under anesthesia while being altered.
The tat is actually to show the animal was altered, and given all its shots, while at a shelter .
Chips are only done if the animal is being adopted . The chip must be paid for by the animals owner ,because its done just to ID the pet,if they go missing .

Tattoos for anything other than what a shelter does it for ,is completely inhumane. I own a sphynx cat,and they are tattooed all the time,by ƒükking ASSHOLE OWNERS ,because its not like the cat gives a shït about a tat.
They have to be under anesthesia for the duration ,and it hurts like hell until it heals.
People who do this to their pets, should be fined, animal removed ,and out on a cruelty watch list .
