Theres never been an opposite word for mistress...

Every word has another with a very similar meaning...

Like when a married man cheats on his wife...

Hes f###ing around with his mistress...

But when a married woman cheats on her husband...

Shes f###ing around with her???

No such common word exists in the english language...

Unbelievable but true throughout history...

Thats how badly men use to dominate and control women...

And in many ways they still do...

There still exists no equal opposite word for mistress...

huh...I thought it was poolboy or that great guy at work that listens so attentively to her about how her husband doesn't listen anymore. The word for that one is homewrecker OR horndog as he cares nothing about her except wants to get into her pants...just like the poolboy.

Yes there is, it's just that the meaning of the word mistress has changed.

Quote:It used to be that "master" was the word for a man who was in authority or in control, and "mistress" was the word for a woman in such a position. I presume that "mistress" came to be used for a woman that a married man was having an affair with on the idea that she is controlling and ruling him through her seductive powers. This usage has come to overshadow the literal meaning of the word, so that today if you use the word "mistress" in the old sense people will almost inevitably think of the sexual connotation. Like, today if you say, "Fred is the master of the soccer team", people would understand you to mean that he is a coach or star player or whatever who exercises a high degree of control. But if you say, "Sally is the mistress of the soccer team", people would think you meant that she was having an affair with every man on the team.

I've seen that work in the opposite way as well. The case can be made for an overall societal dominance, in particular if you're including Muslim countries, but I've seen couples where the woman says shat, and the man asks, where, and how big would you like the pile.

Exactly...in fact when we've been out n about mostly I see a bunch of bitchy fat women yelling, degrading and having their men walk with them like a dog on a leash AND doesn't talk to the children any better. Geez...why do these guys do this? Fat, ugly, sweaty and constantly bitching was the best you could do in your quest for a mate? AND THEN...you procreated with em? I don't feel any more sorry for them than I do women that stay in abusive relationships.

You mad Bra?

I turned myself to consider wisdom and madness and folly
The wise man’s eyes are in his head,
But the fool walks in darkness.
Yet I myself perceived
That the same event happens to them all.

Within the many hundreds of fiction and non fiction books i've read and after talking with thousands of people, never once have i read or heard an equal word for mistress being used by anyone,as in we always hear and read "whos that lady? "oh thats toms mistress" but we never hear "whos that man? "oh thats janes? because there isnt a common word for the man a married woman cheats with, her? but there most certainly is a common word for the lady a married man cheats with, his mistress...
