GMO's are pervasive everywhere, but now they are engineering food as explained in the article below damned.gif.

Quote:GMO methods are being used to create edible vaccines, as, for example, a way of incorporating swine flu virus into corn, allowing mass vaccinations. A large share of insulin medications is produced by genetic engineering. Companies are producing pharmaceutical proteins (including antibodies) in GM plants, as, for example, in the US, where rice has been engineered to produce the alpha-antitrypsin protein used to treat liver disease and hemorrhages.

So many alcohols are now made with gmo ingredients, and no one is the wiser.
Corn and wheat, all gmo now so..
Gmo rice is now invading Asia, so all the rice based alcohols are falling victim too.
I'm also finding high fructose corn syrup on labels of many of my favorite Japanese imported items.
You can't get away from it anymore.

It's not good sad2.gif Thankfully people are increasingly turning back to artisan cookery from scratch over here. That's the only way to make sure you don't consume any crap, or keep it to a minimum.
