The olympics have yet to start and I'm already sick of them. I live in Nottinghill, near Portobello market and the place is full of people every weekend. It is going to be ten times that during the games. I'm dreading the tube too. I don't even care about the games. None of it inspires me. Westminster is filling up with beggars and pickpockets sleeping rough after coming in on buses from the far corners of the European Union. I walk around London with my hands firmly in my pockets. I'm also paranoid that we will see some kind of act of violence centered around the games. I think it is legitimate paranioa too. I have read enough articles in the past week detailing the steps and measures my government is taking to protect the people of London but it just allows them to pat themselves on their backs and say it was needed if and when something actually happens. This then allows them to change the laws to make us even more controlled. I'm so central to all of this that if something like a chemical attack happens I am ƒükkêd . My friend and I were chatting the other day about how long it would take to walk out of London if something severe happened and everything shut down. A whole ƒükking day would probably take us to Watford.....

Too much fearmongering and now I'm thinking what happens if instead of bringing in a battleship to protect us that battleship is carrying things that will kill us.

God bless the games.

I can see by your coat my friend you're from the other side. Just one thing I got to know. Who won?

Misterbumps, if you think it is bad now just you wait until the games get closer. If you rent I hope you are locked into a good contract. I was in Atlanta when the Olympics went there and already high rent was jacked up to unbelievable heights. The Olympics suck.

thats my feeling octo. I just hope it all goes smoothly. As much as I hate the system I live in I don't want to find myself slap bang in the middle of a terrible disaster. I'll be happy if none of it comes true but given the way the world is and the amount of uneasy people there are it is hard to believe nothing will happen

Afraid not Shadow, got commitments. It is strange how publicised the Uk defences have been for the Olympics. I don't think I've ever heard of so many different types of weaponry being brought into place for an Olympics. Perhaps other countries never declared what defence practises they put into place when they were hosts but it begs the question why is the maintream media doing it now???? If something happens to us in London it will be something new, not seen before and not planned for as they seem to be making such an effort to cover various other forms of attacks and then if and when it hits they will say they did the best they could to protect us but need more money and more powers and more legislation to protect us further......

London and the world trade centre has one common denominator. People. Specifically people from all walks of life and places around the world. The world trade centre involved people from all over the world. London is a step up in size. We have so many ethnic groups here. One big mass killing here could bring about a global totalitarian regime in an instant.
