Quote:The Senate voted on party lines to restore funding for ObamaCare and grant final passage to the CR.

The House will consider the new Senate CR on Saturday. If no agreement is reached on extending the government's spending authority, most of the federal government will shut down on Tuesday.

uhoh.gif lmao.gif Is there anyone who cares? I certainly don't see this as a disaster. There's a lot of gloom and doom economic predictions if it happens but I seriously doubt that. This is just scare tactics, and it's not going to work.
The bottom line is Obama and the Dems think this trainwreck is worth shutting down over, so it's the duty of the House to represent the overwhelming majority of Americans and let it happen.
At the moment, I see no downside. chuckle.gif

Unfortunately, the part of the gov that REALLY needs to shut down, Congress, is the part that will never shut down. The rest is a scare tactic and people will fall for it. At least this time they are doing the right thing in trying to get rid of Blowbabacare,

It's the most gawd awful cluster ğck of anything I've ever seen. It's a ponzi scheme that will only work if they can get young healthy people involved to foot the bill for the middle aged people and seniors.
I hate to break this to O and Co., but most will opt to pay the tax instead. It's not going to work.

Yep.

On 1 June 2011, Belgium matched the record for time taken to form a new democratic government after an election, 353 days.

iagree.gif it's symbiotic, young people who don't need it pay for their seniors and when they need it, it comes full circle. I'm paying now for my mother and when I need it, my kid will pay mine. Sort of 'pay it forward' and collect in due time if needed. If not, no recourse anyways. Problem with healthcare in the US is it's for profit but the ACA is just a gov grab, jealous of the insurer's profits? I dunno, but it's blackmail.
