uhoh.gif lmao.gif Is there anyone who cares? I certainly don't see this as a disaster. There's a lot of gloom and doom economic predictions if it happens but I seriously doubt that. This is just scare tactics, and it's not going to work.
The bottom line is Obama and the Dems think this trainwreck is worth shutting down over, so it's the duty of the House to represent the overwhelming majority of Americans and let it happen.
At the moment, I see no downside. chuckle.gif

If it gets so bad JB, there's always medical tourism. Anyone can get treatment pretty damn cheap in India for ie, about 1/10 what is charged in the US (even through premiums alone). And world class doctors. hug.gif

Shutdown seems to be all systems go!

Reid: Senate Will Reject One-Year Health Care Delay, Medical Device Tax http://blogs.wsj.com/washwire/2013/09/28...TopStories

White House: Obama will veto House shutdown bill http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/stories/U/U...8-18-19-43

This is the most responsible action they can take. Until they find a way to make real lasting budget cuts, and do something about the unaffordable care act, who cares if the govt shuts down.
Lets face it, they take our money and give us war, and police/surveillance state. It could be nice getting a reprieve from financing our demise for a while. chuckle.gif

I hate to break this to O and Co., but most will opt to pay the tax instead. It's not going to work.

FOOT the bill for the seniors???? WRONG o is taking half a trillion from medicare to push it over to pay for Obama care I am facing the great possibility of having to find new doctors and hosp that will now accept medicare gaah.gif

Check out what Clinton has to say about that, I don't believe I'm wrong by a long shot... Listen to this from the one minute mark...

Certainly they are shuffling money from medicare to the unaffordable care act, but the ponzi foo of this scheme is strong and lay squarely on the shoulders of the youth.

and a lot of the youth will say to hell with it...and just pay the penalty . I have talked to a lot of young folks in my family and thru friends kids and they all say the same and the ones who have low paying jobs will be subsisdized by the govt..the burden will be on middle class families and medicare recipients..my dialysis clinic has already cut back..all my medical supplies are now subject to audit ..and there was NEVER any over used

Whatever news and information the government controlled media puppets are telling us about their "shut down" are most likely lies and cover ups and deceptions...

So whats probably really going on are more practices emergency drills as they're temporarily "shut down" inside their atomic blast proof subterranean bunker complexes that were built from our legally extorted tax billions and trillions...

But the common jane and joe robot slave workers are not allowed down into them because most of us dont have royal elite blood flowing through our veins...

As the two faced sabre rattling war mongering powers that be prepare for the surface cataclysms soon to arrive when we will be forcibly left upon the surface to be mostly annihilated...

Then they'll arise from their nuclear bomb proof bunkers to rule and control a much smaller more easily dominated population of misled sheeple within another new world order...

Wheres the hells my damn bunker for me and my "beautiful people" family and friends?

F###en back stabbing bastards!

HOUSE PASSES 231-192 OBAMACARE DELAY IN U.S. SPENDING BILL

On a rare Saturday session (now Sunday); in a not-too-surprising vote down party lines, the House has voted in favor of the continued-military-funding, medical-device-tax-repealing, Obamacare-delaying continuing resolution that keeps the government paid until December 15th...

Good morning WR hug.gif

I know a fellow who went to India for knee surgery. Had one of the top surgeons in the world, 2 weeks convalescing at a oceanside resort, airfare included for ~$5k. I don't have dental coverage so pay for that out of pocket (self employed) I'd go to Mexico for a week cheaper than here plus a vacation. cheers.gif

It's a furnace we use for back up heating. It's called 'furnace oil' but it's just marked diesel. Mostly we use wood, but it gets to -30C or so the wood stove can't keep. I like to have a full tank going into winter. It'll last 2 or 3 years, the fuel I had delivered last week.

The military's continued funding excludes veterans gaah.gif

Quote:The Department of Veterans Affairs told congressional officials Friday that all benefit checks it issues, including disability claims and pension payments, will be disrupted if a government shutdown lasts for more than two or three weeks, according to congressional sources.
