My Friend And I Heard Demonic Screams And Diabolical Laughter In A Graveyard At Night

When my friend and i were around fifteen years old, we were walking through a graveyard here in massachusetts one dark moonless winter night in early 1980. Theres a tree lined center road running all the way through the middle that we often used as a short cut from his house to mine. That night was starlit cold and silent and neither one of us were talking...

We had walked about halfway through this graveyard when suddenly,"without any warning" from out of nowhere, we heard very loud terrifying sounds of diabolical laughter and demonic screams. Those horrible sounds were unearthly sinister and very evil and they seemed to eminate from "directly in front of us, above us and all around us" simultaneously...

As we stopped and stood still frozen with unimaginable fear, that laughter and screaming increased in intensity and transformed into evil bursts and twisted wails of what i can only try to describe as sounding like "enraged werewolves" shrieking while fighting,"hideous witches" cackling and "warped demons" growling, all at once...

After about an eternal twenty seconds or so, we both were able to release ourselves from our paralyzing fright and ran away back down that dark snowy center road crying and terrified, as those demented sounds trailed off behind us as anguished and tortured inhuman moaning...

We were in hysterics for hours afterwards and of course, no one believed us. Those sounds were "without a doubt" not from any animal or person. If i had a recording of what we heard that night and was able to replay it, i would warn anyone who cared and dared to listen, that what they were about to hear would change them forever, as it did my friend and i and we heard those sounds blasting right at us full force, in a graveyard at night, with no warning at all...

I still live right next to that old graveyard and during the sunny day time kids ride their bikes and people walk their dogs out there, but whenever the sun goes down and darkness awakens that graveyard changes and transforms into an ominously haunted and very forboding place...

I have never heard anything weird within that graveyard before and i have never heard anything strange since that winter night and after walking back in there and looking around, i think whatever it was became frightened and angry as we unknowingly approached and it went up into the large trees that still line the center road and as we walked past, it started screaming and growling down at us. Or maybe it was floating above us, following us as we walked along, waiting for just the right moment to unleash those malevolent sounds that he and i will never forget in a thousand years...

The small town where this happened to us here in Mass. is on the outer edge of where some have described as the most haunted area in the world, the infamous Bridgewater Triangle >

We used to live next to the old graveyard as well. One Halloween we took the camera and walked over there, the tradition here is to light candles on your diseased loved ones graves so it's kinda neat looking. It was a clear night and we didn't notice anything until we got back home and checked out the pics.

That mist was definitely not there when I took the pic, and it also seems to go through the headstone on the left. That mist also seemed to form a pretty evil looking face smiling for the camera. damned.gif

Sorry Octo,i messed up quoting your post above and wow, thanx for posting that image. The older areas of the graveyard where my friend and i heard those terrible sounds looks very similar to the one you photographed within and something tells me that he and i heard the horrifying effects of an old indian curse, cast upon this area and the settlers and pioneers who trampled over and built upon their ancient burial grounds...

That old graveyard also has a path gong straight through it. One side is very calm and not scary at all, while the other side is very creepy. JR and I were walking there one day, in broad daylight just looking at the graves when we both saw a group of people in the corner of the graveyard. We assumed they were just other visitors but as we turned around they were gone. damned.gif It did feel like we were being followed though.

Who knows what's walking the grounds, basically all of the founding fathers of this town are buried there and a whole bunch of the headstones are masonic.

I'm unable to enlarge this winter picture, maybe someone else knows how? but whoever took the photograph,it shows exactly the same area where my friend and i heard those terrible sounds,in St Patricks Cemetary >

It's all Saints eve here Satuday night. We were thinking of going back for an evp, & photo session. We've got xParanormal detector software we've been itching to try out. It all depends on the weather.
The above pic was taken on this night a few years ago, everyone lights candles on the graves, after the city turns off the electric lights to the graveyard at midnight, theres plenty of energy from the candles they can use to manifest without depleting our camera and laptop batteries. chuckle.gif
We'll go and post any results of video and evp's and pics if the weather permits.

damned.gif I see a few masonic markers there as well, I'm not insinuating that they are bad by any means... just seems to be a lot of activity in those type of places.

The St Patricks Cemetary where we heard those evil sounds within is irish and although not everyone buried there is irish,it may have started that way and being an irish cemetary makes me think of the Wailing Banshee warning of imminent death >

Thats it!...Exactly the area where we heard those evil sounds...Awesome!...Thanx!...That picture shows about 1/8th of the entire size of that cemetary and where we were when it started screaming and laughing at us would be about 75ft in back of and about 50 feet to the left of where the person who took that photo was positioned, near the center road we were walking upon, not shown in that photograph...
