http://www.independent.co.uk/news/scienc...80195.htmlThere is scientific evidence to suggest that life can continue after death, according to the largest ever medical study carried out on the s

A team based in the UK has spent the last four years seeking out cardiac arrest patients to analyse their experiences, and found that almost 40 per cent of survivors described having some form of “awareness” at a time when they were declared clinically dead.

Experts currently believe that the brain shuts down within 20 to 30 seconds of the heart stopping beating – and that it is not possible to be aware of anything at all once that has happened.

But scientists in the new study heard said they heard compelling evidence that patients experienced real events for up to three minutes after this had happened – and could recall them accurately once they had been resuscitated.

Back in the 70's my step dad was putting a CB antenna on the roof and got into a power line, he fell two stories and hit the ground.
He was legally dead when the paramedics arrived and resuscitated him.
He said it was nothing.
blackness.
Like a deep sleep.
There is no afterlife as far as he was concerned, for what it's worth.

My dad's heart was not beating for 45 minutes last December. He remembers absolutely nothing.

i once asked a female patient of mine who took an overdose of pills to kill herself if she experienced something... she said no. just blackness.

well according to the bible you're not supposed to see anything because you're really dead and only will be resurrected on judgment day.
so even the bible says that you see nothing.^^

I think we can talk about these things. Always look at the bright side of death chuckle.gif

I want to add that even if some people don't experience anything during short periods of clinical death doesn't prove there's no afterlife.
