NSA Spying Blowback Continues - Boeing Loses Brazil Jet Order

Until earlier this year, Boeing's F/A-18 Super Hornet had been considered the front runner. But revelations of spying by the U.S. National Security Agency in Brazil, including personal communication by Rousseff, led Brazil to believe it could not trust a U.S. company.

"The NSA problem ruined it for the Americans," a Brazilian government source said on condition of anonymity.

A U.S. source close to the negotiations said that whatever intelligence the spying had delivered for the American government was unlikely to outweigh the commercial cost of the revelations.

Quote:sweden is the main partner of NSA in baltic region as the telecommunication cables at the bottom of the baltic sea run through The Swedish National Defence Radio Establishment (FRA) and the program has a codename SARDINE. all the traffic from baltic states, from russian government and from russian private companies is filtered by FRA and then shared with NSA and british GCHQ because swedish government/FRA are nothing else than national level subcontractor to US and GB.

even more interesting is that saab chairman is marcus wallenberg. wallenbergs to sweden are even worse than rockefellers are to usa and redshields are to europe.

from wiki: The Wallenberg sphere, an international banking- and industry group under the control of Wallenberg family through the holding company Investor AB, based in Stockholm, Sweden, is today Europe's largest family-controlled business empire. In Sweden alone, the sphere was estimated to indirectly control about a third of the national GDP in 1990.

Excellent question.

I get a little pissy when people put my kid in danger for no damn good reason. He volunteered to defend the nation against real threats. Iraq was a war of choice for no reason other than JBJ's desire. Iraq didn't attack us. Iraq was not a threat to us. Bush 1 was smart enough to leave Saddam in place because he kept the balance of power in the region. Bush 2 ( who I voted for once) wasted trillions of dollars and thousands of lives and at the end we have a country that sides with Iran against us every chance they get and after the on going civil war is completed may well be ruled by the people we through out. If my son had been sent to Afghanistan I wouldn't bitch about it because it was justified and had to be done. Even though in Afghanistan the war was prosecuted poorly, Osama Bin Laden was allowed to escape.

I'm not excusing Benghazi but comparing it to the Iraq war is ridiculous. The drones are distasteful but they don't put American's in harm's way. And a few years after we leave Afghanistan things will be just like they were. We have to get used to the idea that as powerful as we are, America can't kill all of her enemies. In fact, every time we kill one we create 10 more.

It gets a little tedious listening to people demonizing Obama as though the country has has never endured such a curse. Just like Bush jr. he was ELECTED twice.

Hate is bad for me. Hate doesn't make me a better person. It doesn't improve my life. Hate will make you a bad husband, wife, parent, friend, it is like a cancer that will rot your soul and spoil any hope you might have of being happy.

People don't like Obama, I get it. I don't like him much either but I don't Hate him. I don't Hate Bush. Obama is going to avoid a war if he can and that makes him a lot better than Bush.

I'm taking a time out.

Obama just sent troops to Sudan today and he escalated the war in Afghanistan the difference is Bush told what he was going to do and got approval to invade Iraq.

You wanna talk about debt? Obama said Bush was unpatriotic for adding 4 trillion to the deficit so I guess that makes him not only unpatriotic but a hypocrite as well. Obama added 5 trillion in 5 years but I suppose you have forgotten all about that. Nothing but failed policy after failed policy but that doesn't matter to you.

You peopele have short memory span when comparing the 2. Obama has done in 5 years what took Bush 8 years and a war to do so yes Obama is much much worse and has pretty much destroyed the country from within just like the founders said woud be the only way that it woud be destroyed.

The Soviet Union fell because they went bankrupt and the same has happened here because we put a communist in office.

You know what gets tedious?? Listening to the POTUS lie on TV daily then watching people like you defend him because Bush was worse when he is doing everything Bush did on steroids.

You keep defending this lying hypocrite

The Wallenberg family is interesting. Long time Bilderberg attendees too, but they're not pleased with Obama atm. 13.gif

Quote: Obama met with Wallenberg's relatives during a visit to Stockholm in early September and promised the Swedish diplomat's 92-year-old half-sister Nina Lagergren to raise the issue of his fate with his Russian counterpart on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Saint Petersburg that month.

But the family has received little feedback since then, von Dardel said.

"We don't know if Obama brought up this case when he was in Russia," she said.

[...] Von Dardel's mother, 91-year-old Matilda, the widow of Wallenberg's half-brother Guy, complained in a letter to Obama last week that the family had not received a proper response to queries it addressed to him in September.

In the letter, seen by AFP, she harshly criticized a response earlier this month from State Department Holocaust specialist Douglas Davidson on the president's behalf.

"I wish to convey to you my thorough disappointment and dismay with Ambassador Davidson's note," she wrote, saying it had "a degree of detachment and bureaucratic rationalization that froze my heart." [...]

"That is precisely why we turned to you for assistance. Instead, all you are doing is to move us in circles," she wrote.

Wallenberg, who had been working with the US War Refugee Board in Hungary and was made an honorary US citizen in 1981, deserved better, she said.

Davidson's letter, she wrote, "contained not a single reference to Raoul Wallenberg's successful work on behalf of the US government or the slightest sense of recognition, gratitude or commitment to a man whom Sweden and the US sent out on a highly dangerous mission without adequate protection.
