Nazi soldiers kept the pep in their goose steps by taking crystal meth

Hi :) Are we any further Ahead?

It turns out Hitler's troops were fueled by both hatred AND a drug made from crystal meth, according to just-published letters from a Nazi soldier. Nazi docs passed out highly addictive crystal meth-containing pills called Pervitin (and there's a brand name that didn't catch on) that came with a list of side effects ranging from hallucinations to a drug-induced "psychotic phase." In letters that soldier Heinrich Böll wrote to his parents, he pretty much begged them to send him a package of the drug. "Today I'm writing you mainly to ask for some Pervitin," he penned in 1939, a request he repeated in several consecutive envelopes. Unless he had an uncle named Pervitin, he was seriously hooked________________________________________

Letters from a Nazi soldier, who became a Nobel Prize winning novelist, have provided an insight into the lives of German men on the front line - and possibly some clues as to how they kept on their toes.

Heinrich Böll, who went on to become one of Germany's most significant postwar writers, wrote to his family in the hope of topping up on a drug called Pervitin that according to its packaging helped "maintain wakefulness" and was to be used as an "alertness aid".

Details of the letters published in German newspaper Der Spiegel have validated theories that the Nazis were using the drug to keep soldiers alert.

During World War Two military doctors from Hamberg to München were handing out Pervitin pills which contained the highly-addictive Class A drug crystal meth, the report claims.

"Dear parents and siblings," Böll, wrote in a letter, dated November 9 1939, to his family in Cologne, while still a soldier in occupied Poland.

"It's tough out here, and I hope you'll understand if I'm only able to write to you once every two to four days soon. Today I'm writing you mainly to ask for some Pervitin...Love, Hein."

On May 20, 1940 , the 22-year-old soldier wrote home again: "Perhaps you could get me some more Pervitin so that I can have a backup supply?"

And again on July 19, 1940 , he wrote: "If at all possible, please send me some more Pervitin."

Between April and July of 1940, more than 35 million tablets of Pervitin and Isophan (a second brand name for the pills) were distributed to German troops.

The pills came with severe side effects including dizziness, depression, sweating and hallucination.

There were also soldiers that died of heart failure and others who shot themselves while having a psychotic phase.

For the most part, Nazi soldiers were finding that the pills were making them as alert as if they'd drank litres of coffee.

In January 1942, one letter from a medical officer says, that a group of hundreds of troops were surrounded by Russians and were attempting to escape in sub zero temperatures.

"I decided to give them Pervitin as they began to lie down in the snow wanting to die," wrote the officer.

"After half an hour the men began spontaneously reporting that they felt better.

"They began marching in orderly fashion again, their spirits improved, and they became more alert."

Kamakazi pilots were said to have been given massive doses of the stuff before they offed themselves.
They still give fighter pilots amphetamines to foster alertness in some parts of the world.

Yes I knew this. Finland bought up most of the leftovers after the war. damned.gif

Drugs have been and are being used to keep soldiers on alert in conflict zones.

Interesting article...
Quote:The German army had sharply curtailed its use of Pervitin already in 1941 because the substance had led to unexpected problems.
Soldiers experienced hallucinations. Some could not sleep, even though “it had been tested with German precision on both animals and people”, Ylikangas says.
Germany unloaded some of its Pervitin stocks in Finland. According to a secret letter of the medical department of the Defence Staff in August 1941, 850,000 Pervitin tablets were stockpiled by the Finnish Defence Forces.
In emergency situations, especially during the big Soviet offensive of 1944, they were used heavily - even by ordinary foot soldiers.

As far away as UN headquarters in New York, people wondered how it was possible that Finland - a country of four million inhabitants - could consume as much heroin in one year in the late 1940s as other countries use on average in a quarter of a century.
In 1946, for instance, 99 kg. of prescription heroin was consumed in Finland.
Finland was not yet a member state of the UN.
Perhaps that is why the response that New York got from Helsinki was somewhat cool.
The message from Helsinki was Finland intended to continue using heroin, and in fact, it would need more than before - for reasons of public health.

Hitler himself had a standing Pervitin prescription.

For your information, the need for speed was no
smaller on the allied side.

No drug-racket catalyst like big war.

British Army alone used up over 72 000 000 "standard doses".

10% of U.S. forces were occasional methheads, according to
official records.

The jetfighter pilots in Afghanistan take uppers when they fly and downers when they land. It's the way of the military.

Far from all German soldiers were Nazis.
How many do you think were party members
in the Wehrmacht?

They were simply German youth with the
horrible jinx of growing up in the wrong
place, wrong time.

Start calling them German soldiers, because
that is what most of them were.

No end to mass mind control...years and years
after the fact...

The evil war mongering governments of many countries, including the united states, kept millions of their soldiers (trained killers) more alert and turned them into more efficient killing (human sacrificing) machines with mass produced drugs, unf###en believable and now millions of people get thrown into steel cages (prisons) for doing the same drugs because tptb are two faced back stabbers, just ask the indians (native americans) "white man speak with forked tounge" meaning, says one thing and does another, like the manic depressed and pathological liars do...
