He was (and still is) pretty weird even for a nerd so I'm not that surprised that they wanted to hang around them...as well as him hang around them as well. The only other weird thing that happened was some "graveyard dust"(dirt from a graveyard, supposedly an ingredient for voodoo) I took from Union spilled out of the container I had and all over my bedroom floor. About a week or so later when I woke up I noticed something that looked like hieroglyphics on the wall, believing it was a trick of the light entering my bedroom a put my hand on the wall to see if the light would appear on my hand. However the light didn't appear on my hand meaning that either it was coming from the wall itself or I was having a hallucination. The hieroglyphics disappeared after a few minutes of me looking at them.
We kept seeing the shape of a man moving from the kitchen area to one of the bedrooms that we where using at the time, but when looking down the hall there was no one there. Her brother moved out shortly thereafter and we moved our bedroom downstairs leaving our two girls up stairs and us sleeping downstairs.
Shortly thereafter, our youngest daughter started telling us about a man that would come to her and wake her up in the night. Add to that, we keep seeing this shadow going down the hall and go into our daughters room.
We came up with the idea to switch rooms, so our oldest daughter moved into that room where this man kept appearing.
But then we started seeing the shadow go into our youngest daughter's new room and she said she was still seeing same man.
Over the past few weeks I've had a strange feeling, like being watched, and as if I'm making something angry.
Night before last I had to work late and my gf rings me and said she thought something weird was going on.
Our dog woke her up like he needed to go to outside, so she let him out. When he came back in he didn't want to come back in.
She went upstairs to check on the girls and she saw the youngest was sitting up in bed breathing heavy, like she had a bad dream or something.
My gf went into the upstairs bathroom and there she told me she felt like something dark and cold had walked through her, and She said it was not the same one that looked like a man it was a black shadow type thing.
She took our youngest down to the couch and the dog sat and kept nervously watching the hall.
She decided it was best to to sleep downstairs together in our room. When I finally arrived, I went upstairs and as soon as I did I was hit with a blast of cold air and strange electric like energy that made all the hair on my body stand up.
At the point, I felt a rush of dark angry negative emotions come over me.
I went to check on our oldest daughter, she was sleeping but I noticed our dog refused to go near this room.
He stood at the stairs shaking with his tail between his legs and whimpering. My oldest girl was suddenly awakened, crying as if by a bad dream and she ask if she could come downstairs and sleep with us.
Our oldest was always a happy ray of sunshine, but over the last few months, she seems less and less like herself and more dark, angry and just strange.
She's been drawing pictures of the house on fire, and seems to enjoy saying and doing things to hurt other people's feelings, she threw a dish like a Frisbee at our youngest and laughed as it narrowly missed her and broke in a million pieces
She started using the F word, and we have no idea where she picked it up as we never talk like that, or watch shows like that with her.
She's having continued outbursts, pulling out her own hair and it's really beginning to get to us. Does anyone here have any advice?
BTW, I was sent here from people at another forum because I was told there may be a few people in here with similar experiences that may have some insight as to what this is and how to handle it, or know how to deal with things like this.
Any advice would be appreciated.
While I have seen ghosts and stuff I don't really know what to do in order to deal with them if they are actually a problem. Part of me thinks they could be a real thing outside of our mind and another part believes they could be merely a projection of our own mind that always them to either seem real or actually become real. If I was to hazard a guess as to why an apparition would be bothering you in your own house, it would be that something happened there some time in the past and either one member of your family is picking on those psychic energy and mentally creating a ghost, or the events that happened left some residual energy allowing the ghost to manifest. As another forum member suggested knowing what could of happened and what is allowing the ghost to exist could help bring some closure to the problem. Beyond that and perhaps doing something to clear whatever bad karma or bad luck you may be having (to the best of my knowledge, ghost prefer not to be around people unless someone has some kind of damaged/tweaked psyche like my brother friend Jeff had who went to the graveyard with us) so trying to normalize your luck/psyche might help in some way. However this advice is merely speculation at best as I have no real idea of what it is your dealing with.
Sorry if I have nothing better to offer.

I seriously doubt this thread was created to astound you. For people who have their first paranormal experience it's a big deal. It's not a competition.
One thing that came to mind, which doesn't have that much to do with paranormal stuff... is there mold growing anywhere at your place OP? Some molds have been linked to even psychological disturbances, and I do know of one apartment that smells clearly moldy where at least three residents in a row started acting strange, they all turned into shut ins.... a usually happy guy got really depressed, a big though guy got all paranoid and started keeping a loaded handgun by him at all times... crazy stuff. I know this doesn't explain all sorts of energies and seeing things but could be good to keep in mind.
I must say I've never seen any ghosts ...at least not any that I know for a fact were ghosts, only had awfully strange feelings at times. Any haunted places haven't gotten me running away as of yet.... If I'd be in doubt, I think I'd do what Accidental Stoner did, tell 'em you aren't giving into their crap.
i kinda like it here on the innernen
Then they shall take other stones and replace those stones, and he shall take other plaster and replaster the house. 43"If, however, the mark breaks out again in the house after he has torn out the stones and scraped the house, and after it has been re plastered, 44then the priest shall come in and make an inspection. If he sees that the mark has indeed spread in the house, it is a malignant mark in the house; it is unclean.…
It's been common knowledge for ages that it's bad news.

They drink and smoke on occasion.
My GF believes in God, but is not religious in any way.
While doing bong hits with children in the home...
I should take off my rose colored glasses I guess... sometimes.
At any rate, smoking bud and the credibility of the OP are not in question for me.

when living with my family in an old brewery house.
Walked in one night in the wee hours after working late, finding my
little daughter in a real life 'Poltergeist' scene - flickering TV and all..!
That was the culmination of years of lesser and bigger hauntings.
What I did was to simply wait until next time being home alone, then
I just stood up in the middle of the living room and said in a clear,
out-loud fashion that we weren't gonna take the crap anymore,
and that anyone/anything unseen listening to me needs to cease and
And lo and behold - it stopped!
Worked for me. :)
The paranormal activities picked up again after I moved out though,
I've been told. Seems people leave the place pretty hastily after moving
in still today, although the place is rather freshly renovated and all...
this was my first instinct when reading OP's post.
but as i got further along, i think things are different.
im still reading it...
