Quote:A FARMER in southern Nepal mistook his son for a monkey trying to steal his crops and shot the 12-year-old dead.

Chitra Bahadur Pulami had been climbing a tree on Friday to chase away macaques that had become a nuisance to the family but his father Gupta Bahadur, 55, spotted the boy and opened fire, wrongly believing him to be one of the animals.

"The son was hiding in a tree at their farm to chase away monkeys that used to come searching for food in the maize field," said Arun Poudel, deputy superintendent of police in the remote Arghakhanchi district.

"The son died on the spot after Gupta Bahadur mistakenly thought there was a monkey in the tree and opened fire.

Whats it all mean if you mistake your son for a monkey? coffeetime.gif

I may now, but not when he was young. Prior to my ex's influence.

hug.gif Sure would be a horrible scenario. Mind you I had two separate dreams for each of my kids. Mason on the other hand I killed in cold blood in my dream because we were moving to the States and couldn't bring him so I had to choke him to death. blink.gif I didn't even succeed but half of his jaw broke off. tissueguy.gif Yeah I cried that time too.

edit to say: We had watched Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer the night before so I kinda see where that came from chuckle.gif

hug.gif Well, the child wasn't killed out of malice or intent, small comfort, but I cry for those that are. hug.gif

I had read too many Sven Hassel books when I dreamed I killed my son. Sven Hassel btw is banned in Finnish libraries and imagine a bunch more if he's even known outside Scandinavia.

Dream was about me hiding from Russian troops and tanks moving through a dead village but then I saw this deer jumping out from the woods across the road. Turned into a horse but I thought "food" and shot it. It ran out of sight though and I went to look for it. When I found it it was laying down mortally wounded, but it was my son.

I was mortified as you can imagine, but the love and forgiveness in his eyes as he passed makes me humble and freaked out to this day.

Let's just not kill anybody please. Bad idea.

The dream I had about killing my daughter was some 20 years ago but I still remember it too well. In my dream she had a cold and it was "common knowledge" you were supposed to cut their throats as a remedy. Not through the spine though, everything but. Of course I ƒükkêd up and cut too far and heard the ka-chunk when cutting and woke the hell up right after I realized what I just did... aaah2.gif

So yeah I can see the father in this scenario being devastated. What parent wouldn't be? tissueguy.gif
