It's called NuShape -

NuShape combines leucine and vitamin B6 to encourage fat to release some of its calories and direct those to muscles, where they’re burned, Zemel said. His research was published in the June edition of the journal Nutrients.

Can't find a price for the NuShape pills. I'll bet it's in the $30 a bottle range. 13.gif

I wonder if just combining leucine and vitamin B6 will do the same trick?

More info. from their study:

Quantity: 2.25 g leucine and 30 mg pyridoxine (Vitamin B6) (NuFit active blend) - three times/day for 4 weeks without energy restriction...

I think I'll try to get the supplements from my food.

Here's an interesting bit of weight loss info.:

Smell the Roses - This holistic approach has shown proven results. According to research, people implementing aromatherapy in their routines and inhaling buttery popcorn and strawberry scents actually burned more calories and ultimately lost more weight than exercisers that did not.

I'm pretty much at my ideal weight so I'm not really into popping any pills for that, but here's an interesting article on the matter:

Fat, Not Glucose, is the Preferred Fuel for Your Body

spock.gif Interesting. My anti - candida diet has allowed me to drop excess pounds without even trying, I think this may be more of a permanent lifestyle change than anything, however very interesting natural product.
Doubt if we can score that over here though.

I see olives, olive oil, raw nuts and avacados are also mentioned in your article. Interesting that the same foods are recommended as healthy fat sources.

Yeah we eat a lot of that. It's amazing how little it takes of that stuff to keep you satiated for a long time. beercheer.gif

They suggest olive oil for cold food preparation and coconut oil for cooking. I think I'll switch to coconut oil as an experiment.

Just remember the good organic coconut oil tastes coconutty . It doesn't go well with scrambled eggs for instance. chuckle.gif

I found something better.

"For health reasons, many people—me included—have traded butter for oil".

Another one, which you failed to mention, is Mac Oil (Macadamia Nut Oil). In my opinion, it is far superior to Olive Oil. It consists of 80% monounsaturated fat, has a very high smoke point of 389°F., has a shelf life of 20 months without the need for refrigeration, and has a great flavor. A little harder to find and more expensive, but well worth it if you choose to cook with oil and can afford it.

I wonder if it has a strong taste too?

Found more info:

With a nutty flavor and a touch of buttery aftertaste.. Mmmmmmm

Sounds delicious! I can't even imagine the price of that over here even if I could find it. Well at least they have all sorts of oils at the grocery store anymore. We had some light roasted sesame oil here recently that was fantastic.

Checked the store today and yes we can has Macadamia oil! yay.gif Ok it comes at €6.99/250 ml so I'm not likely to start cooking with it on a daily basis, but cheaper than I expected.

Yes, one poster at a chat room said she paid $8.00 and another said $20.00. So, the price varies. I will definitely look for this oil on my next food shop because they say any oil not in a dark bottle will most likely be rancid and cooking with rancid oil is not a good thing.
