I'm of the mind that the streaks are coming in via the ventilation, that being, exhaust fumes. What are exhaust fumes, I ask? I then surmise that it is a greasy oily mess. What cuts, cleans oil?

You have to do the vinyl on the interior roof too, if you smoke, I was surprised how grubby mine was. Maybe once a year or so.

I wouldnt want to accidently gas myself while driving down the street!

Actually.....

If your heater core is broken, it's possible to spray radiator vapor on to the inside of your windshield. Radiator coolant will make it a bitch to clean off.

Any grease cutter. Dawn dishwashing liquid is a mild grease cutter. But you can use other things too. Just go to hardware store and go to cleaning supplies and look for any grease cutting chemical. Don't use easy off. LOL

I suppose maybe thats what it is?

Anythings worth a try...

Just this past weekend I cleaned the inside of my cars windshield once with windex and then once with warm water and it seemed clean...

But then I got in it and started driving and the suns light and or the oncoming car headlights hit my windshield at a certain angle and there they are again!

Streaks and other streaks and more streaks suddenly reappear!...again!

And i'm like where the hell did you just come from?...again!

Maybe the car glass manufacturers have a behind the scenes mega money deal with the glass cleaner companies?!

Meaning maybe the glass and the glass cleaners contain the problem?!

Or maybe its our eyes that have streaks?! (*-*)

I'm keeping with the same perspective, what the hell is coming up via my ventilation onto the glass?

You could have a leak in your heater core.

You could also be spraying oil from a lose valve cover or bad valve cover gasket. Look under your hood on the underside of your hood and look to see if there is any oil splattered on it. It could be vaporizing and entering your vent system.

The older (meaning more miles) the car is the more dirtier its windshield will get?

There's a product called INVISIBLE GLASS. Spray or aerosol. Walmart, grocery stores, auto stores.

It isn't made with soap. Does not streak. Might have to use it twice to get the old crusty stuff.
Smokers window, no problem, finger prints, over-spray from Son of a Gun / Armorall, not an issue. You can be generous the first time then just a spritz the next time.

Hasn't failed me yet. We repainted a front door that faces the sun. After a few weeks, there was a bunch of garbage on the screen door window. Nothing would touch it without smearing. Used the Invisible glass. Took 3 or 4 times but it worked.
