Nuclear Contamination and Sushi

A girl friend and I had been talking about eating Sushi but in reading the articles about the discharge of highly radio active water into the sea I am concerned.

Sushi grade seafood comes from all around the world I understand but a sizable amount does get imported in from Japan.

I do not trust the media. This girl is great, love her to death and find it hard to say no but I do not want to endanger my health or hers due to false claims the food is safe. How could you tell the damn Tuna isn't swimming through the contaminated waters. I just don't know.

Hell I don't even eat anything out of the Gulf of Mexico hardly anymore... gaah.gif

Seafood has become a scary prospect Taco, thankfully with the Salmon and Trout we get up here we don't worry about the Gulf, or Japan.
The biggie here is herring...
Baltic herring exceeds recommended limits with respect to PCB and dioxins. I don't care for herring at all so no problem, but it still goes back to the fact the Baltic sea is quite polluted and takes a backseat to other disasters.

You can make pretty good sushi without seafood Taco. California rolls are easy and put in them whatever you want. I like asparagus, avocado, cucumber, chives, doesn't have to be fish hug.gif

I was gonna eat Sushi once, but she smelled like fish. She had a chance at heaven but blew it.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice
