I didn't add parsnip, turnip, or sweet potatoes, but everything else went in, so I wonder if the miracle ingredient is one or all of them.

If you read the whole article, they aren't sure which ingredient carnosine came from. Or did I misunderstand?

i dunno why they said that..

it says it is in chicken other sites.

not as high as beef but its there

Carnosine in Chicken

Chicken is also a source of carnosine but is not as good a source as beef, with 0.01 percent to 0.1 percent in moist tissue, according to Food Chemistry, which is 0.01 gram to 0.1 gram per 4-ounce portion. When it comes to good health, you want to eat leaner cuts of chicken. Chicken breast makes a good choice and is even lower in fat than the leanest cuts of beef.

I was asking my 80something year old mom how they made it when she was a child. She said homemade chicken soup was made with chicken, onions, carrots, celery, parsley, garlic and always had parnsips, and was always served to sick people.

I hear ya'. Beer before food is great, after food, better, but with food...
I'd rather have water.
