I had an infection in a tooth once and I went to 3 dentists before they did something about it. They didn't think it was an infection so they just filed it down saying it was a bit too high causing pain gaah.gif

I loudly insisted they pull the whole goddamn tooth out and the dentist said sure I can drill and check it out if you want..."but I don't think...". Well, 20 seconds later it was "oh you have an infection here..." No shït Sherlock bored.gif

That's my situation exactly. I will see a specialist today for a fourth opinion. They just won't pull out teeth these days unless absolutely necessary. In the meantime, the pain woke me up at 2 a,m,

Finally. the tooth is out. The specialist took pity on me and found me a dentist who was willing to extract it. They both said I had two different kinds of bacterial infectiions, one invading my bone and it was serious. The specialist called it 'bizarre'.

Glad to hear it. I hope you feel better already. Are you getting some strong antibiotics to take care of the infections?

I don't think the two antibiotics are the strongest, but combined they should do the job.

I hear flossing isn't as beneficial as previously thought. My dentist told me to use an interdental brush 13.gif

I use picks (soaked in baking soda. or salt, or mouthwash & water mixture), not floss. But I asked the dentist what is the recent hype about flossing not being effective. It seems it is effective if you do it correctly and that entails not pressing on the gums, which can damage them and push bacteria deep into the surrounding tissue - causing major problems. My problem is not gum-related but rather I grind my teeth and cause cracks and chipping. And I have also been asking why the night guards are so rigid and uncomfortable - "why not make them with a flexible material that would act as a skin over the teeth?" I ask then I just get blank stares.

so, one of my dentists' admin. people phoned to see how I am doing and I ranted about how inadequate the x-ray equipment is. Three dentists could not determine how bad a crack was in a tooth from three x-rays taken at different angles and also a 'pan' x-ray. Terrible. And not to mention the radiation exposure, which can't be healthy.

trippy..

my mum just sent me this advert..

i grew up in this house!

lol.gif

it looks nothing like it..

when they showed the stairs to the second level all i could think of was how we used to somersault down them

and there is a doorway from the kitchen to the back and that is where my brother bashed my head against the frame

lol i was a very very angry lion cub

i swore like a sailor at him .. was about 8 or something.. and just when i went to belt him one, my other brother held my arm back
and then i was even more pissed off LOL

all in front of my mum.. i remember that well.

also it is very weird too.. yesterday i was thinking about that house and wondering if i could google it to see it somehow..

just wow. what a trip.

ohhh.. and the backyard.. we had a trellis with a grapevine on it.. very old..
and a cherry tree..

but look at the view to the bay. we lived so close..

used to be train tracks around it and when they had the winter carnival the old steam train would puff along it..

this is so cool! i saved it lol

It is amazing how renos can completely transform a home these days.

We use to get a piece of cardboard and surf down the stairs from the third floor to the second, and there wad a bend at the bottom so we bounced off the walls. lol

As for Jesus' message to us all...somehow it got lost in translation.
