Dammit, turns out I am allergic to something in beer.
I start puking and get a headache way before any other
discernible effects occur.

Makes me feel left out of the Brotherhood of Men, sometimes.

Can't have wine either, since sulphites give me much the
same symptoms.

So...vodka it is, if there's gonna be any drinking at all.

Which makes everybody around me look at me sideways, as
if I were Drinking For Real.

I bought a bottle of 76 proof vodka for the sole purpose of making medicinal tinctures, but succumbed one night and has a couple belts. It walloped me good and the next day I poured the rest down the sink...best intentions though.

I never tried Lucky beer but I have wondered if it was watery tasting. Maybe next time I'll try it. Thanks.

i dont think it is. as i said coors light is watery compared to that.
i like lager to begin with, kinda an average canadian kinda beer i think.
i dont like anything too far off the path with beer.

one time we got coors light to see and yeah we didnt like it as well at all.
there was quite a big difference.
O says she finds the lucky has more body to it. it does.

yeah get a 6 pack n see.. why not..

Just Plain Nuts.

I've been trying new beers lately, you know at the mix 'n match area - they now have 6 packs there too, that's where I found the boneshaker IPA ale. Actually, I would not have bought it if I had bothered to look at the alcohol content, being 7.1%.

wow that blows!
no beers??

ErrMahGerrd!!

i cant drink vodka lol
or any kinda hard liquor.

usually if i am having beers it is for the evening.. and no way would i be able to drink hard liquor for a whole evening.
besides i would prolly fight and kick someone's ass if i did.
lol!

i am great on beer but yeah.. a liquor buzz is different than a beer buzz.
then too a wine buzz is as well.

Just Plain Nuts.

Well it certainly provides a different buzz. I can handle vodka just fine, its just a "clinical" buzz for me and I don't enjoy it as much as a beer buzz which makes me dance and lose my clothes.
