Spotted 2 effing FIRE ants in my bed five minutes ago. It might was well be 200 or 2,000.

Many repeated wipe downs with vinegar including using a spray bottle of vinegar two or three times didn't work. So now I've sprinkled baby powder over the bed.

I also vacuumed the bed earlier.

Hope this doesn't go on much longer. It feels hopeless...like I'm at their whim...whatever the eff they decide to do.

Tomorrow, I'll dedouble the efforts to wipe out the nest outside.

If you've never seen one up close, these ants are tinier than any other ants, at least that I've ever seen. But what a major pain in the ass they are!

Pray for me. hug.gif

Thanks for that link. I have honey and borax, so I could warm up some honey make some and put it around the mound.

Muhahahaha!

BTW, after sprinkling all that baby powder on the bed, it looks like the ants are staying away. I'll vacuum up the powder tomorrow. That way I'll be able to see during the daytime that they continue to stay away AFTER the powder is gone. The air is pretty strong with powder right now, so it's not safe to sleep in there tonight.

Hopefully, the ants swill stay away once the powder is vacuumed up.

Pray for me. hug.gif

I've seen people have all kinds of problems, roaches, crabs lol, but never fire ants.
I'd have to consider buying a new bed before long, or as bad as they are, you could get those awful insect foggers and leave the house for 24 hours.
Honestly, this would be driving me crazy. Other than the occasional lady bug, I can't stand sharing the house with insects.

If I was a bug I would be a lady bug. We tried to keep a lady bug as a pet over winter, but he died. His name was Randy sad2.gif 37.gif

I'm usually good for one movie wide awake while the second movie usually ends up fragmenting and coalescing with my lapsing in and out of consciousness lucid dreaming...

Hi BAG. If the lawn care people caused this problem, then they should fix it. If I were you, I would give them a phone call and explain what has happened due to their work and then ask how they intend to fix it.

Artificial sweeteners like Equal. Sprinkle a dozen packs or so around they'll be gone in a day.
