Here's the latest update on Sunday.

Wind and rain could disrupt Christmas travel in some areas

The Environment Agency said there was a medium risk of flooding on Monday in southern areas, including Hampshire, Kent, West Sussex, Surrey, the South West and Greater London.

Several flood warnings and alerts - which are updated every 15 minutes - are currently in place across England and Wales.

Nodoom, why not ask for shelter at one of the many churches where you are?

They are all full and have been since the day of opening back in November!

Thanks for that though.

So, what will you be doing? Putting up a strong structure using weatherproof tarp or something? You obviously know to keep away from drains, streams/rivers, bridges...can you head for higher ground?

Two people have died as storms sweep across the UK.

A man's body was pulled from the River Rothay in Cumbria by rescuers searching for a man who had been seen falling in.

In Gwynedd, north-west Wales, a woman's body was found in a stream in full flow near her house.

The deaths come as gale-force winds and heavy rain hit the Christmas getaway for road, rail, air and sea passengers. Fallen overhead power lines left thousands without electricity.

It is currently a severe gale and heavy rain. But for now I am warm and dry. This pub does not close until 3AM. cheers.gif

Hi NODOOM! What's happening? Are you still in the Pub? I read the thread and rounded up the kitten and the momma cat from outside and put them in the bathroom. It was 26F last night and they got along just fine but the kitten is small and I discovered he had an eve infection today. They get these infections and their eye lids stick together, then they wonder around blind until they freeze. Can't have that.
