Steer clear of light houses and mills. The energy of the water can serve as a catalyst for all manner of unwanted guests.
We have a friend who's parents live close to a flowing creek that experience all kinds of oddness. She has crosses all over the house and she's not religious. damned.gif

Acrophobia... ah yes, I know it well. I despise having to get up on a roof or hiking a narrow trail with a steep drop off uhoh.gif

I would be wary of the stone foundation's condition, usually if stone foundations are not kept up they begin to crumble away and I am sure that may be the case with the house continually settling and people hearing all sorts of sounds and doors being off kilter and opening by themselves.

JR, I have never heard of water attracting spirits although running water would create water vapours to rise in the air and I would not rule out an energy spirit to hitch a ride. Although, wouldn't a ghost remain outside the home until invited in?

Quote:After playing with the dense white mist which is created by ultrasonic humidifiers , I realized that tiny droplets of water suspended in the air do not act like particles. They don't act like very small rain. Instead, the boundary layer surrounding each droplet is wider than the space between droplets. This causes the droplet-filled air to act like a DENSE FLUID. When the droplets move, they drag the surrounding air along with them. The individual droplets might be heavy, but since they are so small they don't fall very fast. But the white mist as a whole does fall. Humidifier steam is a composite material, like "heavy white air." A few droplets, when mixed with a great number of air molecules, on the average act like a gas composed of molecules far heavier than air, with no droplets present. All this is an analogy for ion populations in the air: a single air ion will essentially behave like a large number of weaker ions.

Oh yeah, pocket change and peanuts.

Not living there seems bloody well better than life-long debt slavery.

Nice place to look at, though.
