lol.gif We need a kritterbox rocket to put an end to this. This subject is ridiculous, without access to a rocket, it can't be disproved, but I've flown from Europe and back several times and I have seen the curvature of the earth with my own eyes.
Now, when you put a wand in soap and allow air to form in it, what forms.. plates? lol, nope, spheres,
I've seen the moon and planets through telescopes, and they are oblong spheroids, or spherical in nature, easiest form for nature to create. Kids don't blow soap disks FFS, they are bubbles,
The natural order of all this should be like Occam's razor, but somehow, it isn't for some.
Not trolling, or being rude or smug, trust me. I just can't wrap my head around something so unnatural. The theory bugs me because it can't be disproven without a kritterbox rocket 37.gif

Quote:...as early as the 6th Century BC, Pythagoras had declared that the planet was a spherical body, even though many of his peers held the belief that it was flat. It wasn't until Aristotle offered evidence of the Earth being a sphere around 330BC, observing how the constellations appeared higher above the horizon in the southern regions than they did in the northern regions, and that elevated lights were visible to sailors from further distances than those at low-lying ground level.

According to the historian Stephen Jay Gould, the Greek knowledge of a spherical Earth has been held throughout the Middle Ages and never faded to the modern day. The supposed period of 'Flat Earth Darkness' is simply a modern misconception of history - Christian scholars were fully aware of Earth's spherical shape and even were able to calculate the circumference of the planet.

I agree. I've seen the curvature of the earth many times from planes and from the top of mountains.

I can see by your coat my friend you're from the other side. Just one thing I got to know. Who won?

yup.gif Once you see the curvature and look at our neighboring planets, for earth to be a plate seems logically out of the question.

JayRod is right on both counts flat earth is total BS and yes without a KB rocket it can't be disproven.
This theory is as medieval as ISIS.
