Quote:The outgoing Homeland Security Secretary has a warning for her successor: A massive and “serious” cyber attack on the U.S. homeland is coming, and a natural disaster — the likes of which the nation has never seen — is also likely on its way.

So prepare, and bring “a large bottle of Advil,” Janet Napolitano told her yet-to-be-named replacement in a farewell address Tuesday morning.

It was January 1st , 1999 ,
I awoke at 7:02am

checked my money

I had three cents in my pocket

an empty wallet

2 gallons of gas in my truck

3 cigs in my pack

no job .

I smiled : " perfect way to begin a New year , I made it through last year ,
and came out of it with 3 pennies left over "

Hour and half later while at the gas station , a guy was dropped off with a gas can ,

he put gas in it , asked if i could drive him back to his vehicle .

I said sure.

He filled up my gas tank and gave me $40 ( even though,,,
I tried to refuse the money and gas , he forced it on me )

i got him to his car , and followed him back to the station to make sure he made it ok .

it was a 24 mile round trip , he had run out of gas 12 miles out into the desert .

I used .25c of the $40 to make a call for a job

I was hired over the phone and started work the next morning

I made the $40 last the entire week until i got my $692 paycheck cashed at the end
of the week .

Point ?

point is , doom shit is never as bad as your mind can make it

smile at it

and sure as shit

life gets better quickly .

screw incoming

lets have fun instead .
