This is a horrendous topic, but to deal with it I think it's important to air out in the open. At least they have started investigating these horrendous acts. This rabbit hole goes high up...

Quote: More than 10 current and former politicians are on a list of alleged child abusers held by police investigating claims of a Westminster paedophile ring.

MPs or peers from all three main political parties are on the list, which includes former ministers and household names.

Several, including Cyril Smith and Sir Peter Morrison, are no longer alive, but others are still active in Parliament.

The existence of the list was disclosed by Peter McKelvie, the whistleblower whose claims prompted Operation Fernbridge, the Scotland Yard investigation into allegations of a paedophile network with links to Downing Street.

i think pedophilia is much more common than most people expect
i remember so many stories of "pedophile encounters" from when i was a child... so many of my friends from back then have encountered at least some sort of guy who tried to lure him or her into a car or something similar
if i'll ever have children i'll definitely tell them to kick the guy immediately in the nuts and run home or to the next public place or neighbor to call the police. chuckle.gif even if the guy might be innocent chuckle.gif

168 Children Rescued In Sex-Trafficking Crackdown

Quote:Nearly 170 victims of child sex trafficking, many of whom had never been reported missing, were rescued in the last week as part of an annual nationwide crackdown, the FBI said Monday.

Besides the 168 children rescued from the sex trade, 281 pimps were arrested during the same period on state and federal charges.

This is the eighth such week-long operation, which this year unfolded in 106 cities. The FBI says nearly 3,600 children have so far been recovered from the street.

We're getting ready to completely upload a new kritterbox version in a day or two, so I'm not going to spend very much time fixing issues that should be solved soon, but I'll look at it.

Btw, I'm pleased to see I'm not receiving any emails from you lately chuckle.gif

3,600 rescued in 8 weeks...

And that was just in the US.

This is a terrible problem.

I think a lot of them helped cover up Jimmy Savile's crimes

That's only the start of it. This sheit goes deep and way back.

A recent example that made waves:

Quote:Marc Dutroux (born 6 November 1956) is a Belgian serial killer and child molester, convicted of having kidnapped, tortured and sexually abused six girls from 1995 to 1996, ranging in age from 8 to 19, four of whom he murdered. He was also convicted of having killed a suspected former accomplice, Bernard Weinstein, later proved insane. He was arrested in 1996, four years after the disappearance of his victims had begun, and has been in prison ever since, though he briefly escaped in April 1998.

Dutroux's widely publicised trial took place in 2004. A number of shortcomings in the Dutroux investigation caused widespread discontent in Belgium with the country's criminal justice system, and the ensuing scandal was one of the reasons for the reorganisation of Belgium's law enforcement agencies.
