A lot of the drivers of rigs are immigrants from India. They don't even speak English never mind have a class 1 license. Quite a few of the trucking co.s in BC are owned by E Indians and they bring the same quality of driving to BC as they do in India. lol.gif But Whaler has a class 1 and is a damn good driver.

That's good, so Whaler knows what to expect from lousy truck drivers.

Is your 5th gear somewhere in lost left-side land?

More often than not, it's not the truck driver's fault.

That's why they are called professional drivers. I think he was not speeding, he was going with the flow of traffic.

early this morning before sunrise I was driving down one of the country roads to get to the dialysis clinic..well wouldn't ya know some jack ass was on my butt..i was going 60 and the speed limit is 55..still right on my butt..and my mind was recalling what shadow posted to pull over..i didn't cuz there isn't much of a shoulder on these roads..I could have ended up in someone's cornfield..so I went faster looked in my rear view mirror he wasn't on my rear but what I failed to notice was a stop sign..it's where the road runs across a very busy highway..THANK GOD there was no traffic otherwise I would be toast..i swear I keep having all these close calls damned.gif

Hi jb, yeah, I know, I always have tailgators right up my behind too, but I just slow down not speed up, and then they usually go away.

Then you got crazies on the road there, so just do what Shadow recommends, get out of their way.

One time I'm going around the airport corner at 3:30, it's -8C and raining, this truck pulls up right on my bumper and the driver hi-beams me because I'm doing 70k. I'd have pulled over but it was a blind corner and the first to get smeared if traffic appeared would be me so I just adjusted my rear view mirror to reflect his hi-beam in his face. He backed off. lol.

Also never text or fiddle with your phones while driving. I don't know if that's what happened in this horrific crash in Japan, but the trucker was apparently not paying attention. sad2.gif

Makes me wonder if he wanted to get your attentionl
