A man is facing jail after he tried to swap a live four-foot alligator for a 12-pack of beer.

The whole episode was caught on CCTV as Fernando Caignet Aguilera, 64, entered the Santa Ana Market in Miami on December 10.

He offered the reptile for sale after reportedly finding it in a nearby park, however staff at the convenience store instead called police.

He has now been hit with charges relating to illegally capturing the animal and trying to sell it.

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokesman Jorge Pino said: ‘I have never experienced anything like this in 25 years in law enforcement.’

‘This is absolutely bizarre…it makes no sense to me. [The alligator] was pretty much in good shape, we didn’t notice any unusual conditions on it,’ he told NBC Miami.

Things went from bad to worse for Aguilera when he lunged at a WSVN photographer, who was among other members of the media congregated outside his home seeking an interview.

He allegedly demanded money for the interviews before the attack and a report has apparently been filed against him.

Life is like a penny, you can spend it on what you like, but you can ONLY spend it once.

But carrying paper money in a crocodile wallet would have been just fine.

Someone tell Pedro there is a reason why we don't want illegals in the US. This sort of thing might be normal behavior back where he is from. You effing don't know the laws or have any idea at all about our culture.

Back in ThirdWorldVille, getting an alligator might be considered quite the catch! The whole extended family gets to feast!

Go home!

Pray for me. hug.gif

Your prayers have worked like crazy. Maybe one of these days I won't have any behavior issues.
