Hi Mason,

Dad said I'll be able to check my mail at the Rainbow Bridge, so don't worry if you don't find any replies in the corners of the Kritterbox.  By the time you sniff this message I'll be resting in a shady spot in the lawn.  Dad and I are going to the vet's to see all those nice people there.  Dad says that I'll get really sleepy but it will be OK because I'll be in his arms.  You can tell it's July in south Georgia cuz Dad's sweating a whole bunch ~ especially from his eyes.  Thanks for being my internet friend, Mason!  Love your Mom and Dad and if you can hike a leg in a few of Dad's posts it will make him happy, too.

Thanks bud,  Curlie

Hi Curlie!

I'll be keeping an eye open for you old friend and make sure I pee a lot in your Dad's posts. I'll have Mom read them to me to decide where to pee. I'm thinking it's getting warmer here as well 'cause she's starting to have some eye sweat too. Her Grandma is preparing to leave as well so maybe you guys can travel together. For the company and tummy wubs. I'm glad we don't have hands because I honestly wouldn't want to wub her tummy.

Love and pees

Mason

Thanks, Rog. It was the time Beepers was ill I learned Curlie's days were numbered. He came to me at age 5 from a neglect situation. He was 10lbs ~ half of what he should have weighed. He was a pleasure from day one ~ integrated into a house with cats (had never been around them) and pups and he never had to be scolded even once ~ he just 'knew' what to do. I'd have another poodle in a heartbeat. I had him nearly 7 more years and while in for a routine visit and teeth cleaning discovered he had more serious issues. His last three and a half months he was pampered and cherished. He ripped out a chunk of my heart as he left and it's buried in the yard with him. I don't begrudge him that though, he deserved and earned every bit of it.

Beepers excavated your heart, but she left enough for you to share with another deserving pup when the time comes ~ you and the new pup will both know when that time comes, my friend.

Cheers cheers.gif

I had the heartbreaking task of having our 17 year old friend lean into me, look up at me, and pass on 24 years ago.
It took me that long to get a new mate, and Louis the Poodle is a good little boy, if a bit of a nibbler.

There's plenty of room for all God's creatures. Right next to the mashed potatoes!

Sorry for your loss.

Kittehs and puppehs better at unconditional love than humans, it seems.
The kind that lasts forever :)

Sorry for your loss Daj. I can understand how your feel as I too lost two beloved kittehs (well both over 14 years old) a while back and still miss them very much, but the kittehs keep on a coming into my home bringing love and laughs again.
