Another legend gone.

Quote: Percy Sledge, who recorded the classic 1966 soul ballad "When a Man Loves a Woman," has died. He was 74.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

Respect - that song will live forever.

Yup...wee bit über-butterish for my personal taste, also, but...still a classic.

The magic of rock'n'roll.

Good vocal take on it, though.
Bloody difficult tune to sing, too, I'd say.

Real singers while singing songs we hear their voice flowing smoothly and effortlessly...

While Percy is straining and almost yelling his vocals just about throughout the entire song...

"Kinda like Stevie ( i sound like a raspy sputtering goat) Nicks sings most of her songs (*-*)
