The guy who put it there died

Sam Panopoulos, inventor of Hawaiian pizza, dies aged 83
Restaurateur is credited with being the first to put pineapple on pizza in the 1960s, setting off a global debate that still rages

I had a pizza at some offroad place in the middle of the woods in Finland, no doubt inspired by the Hawaii pineapple pizza, but with peach and bacon and it was awesome. Haters are going to hate it, but it's here to stay.

Is your family responsible for the Chicago deep dish pizza? If yes I'll have to go after them, probably throw pineapples at them bleh.gif

Finnish tastebuds are corrupted by the fact they ate bark in WWII.

My dad had a couple of aunts starting a laundry in Chicago back in the days. I hope they died before the deep dish came into being

I love deep dish if it's made right.

Tuna and pineapple?

The peach and bacon sounds pretty good.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

Invest in a 1Lb box of baking soda.
Take 1 level teaspoon of baking soda, (sodium bicarbonate), and mix it in with about 4 oz lukewarm water.
The taste is funky, but the results are immediate.
Look on a box of Arm and Hammar baking soda, the only use listed is "antacid".

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.
