Today, I buried my beautiful youngest son.

İmage

By far the worst day of my life - all other pains and troubles
I may have or have had feel rather small and distant.

He was just in the process of entering manhood...22 years old.

İmage

Always appreciated by the ladies, I lost count years ago. :)

We shared the otherness, the being born on the outside.
With him, the crap was cut already before talk started,
whenever he looked in on his old man.

İmage

He had the will and the courage to Awaken

İmage

- and to always be himself, no matter what.

What?

He look stoned?

İmage

Sadly, his childhood was lost to me, but the nine last years of
his life, we developed a good, relaxed relation.
I loved him dearly for his spirit and attitude.
I will always love him.
And beyond.

His life was not an easy one, but he never whined, never once
came to me to fish for pity - but to ponder and discuss Life, the
Universe and Everything. And the fact that truth seemed to differ
from commonly sanctioned reality to him...

It was a pleasure knowing you, my handsome second son of a
second son of a second son. I cannot tell you, how much I miss
you, and how awfully lonely I feel this moment, here in DryTown,
Finland, Greater Babylon.

We'll meet again, somehow, somewhere.
And we'll roll up a real fat one and once again laugh so hard at
all the hypocrisy and vanity - including our own.

Rest in peace, Joel.

Thank you for posting pics of him AS. It means a lot to me. It looks like he didn't march to a different drum, he was the different drum.

Rest in peace Joel, you are loved.

With my deepest sympathy AS.

Quote:
An Angel In Disguise - Unknown

If an angels wings are forever hidden,
beneath two arms that wrap with care;
And a vibrant halo glows within,
a tender spirit shining there.

If the melody of a blessed harp
is found in the warmest voice,
and an unconditional love is sewn,
in to your each and every choice.

If the laughter of a cherub rings,
when you have brightened someone's day
And pure heavens found in every smile,
you felt need to send this way.

If an angels gown of flowing white
is shielding from all eyes.
At once I knew when I saw you,
I spied an angel in disguise.

My heart aches for you AS. You are taking a journey no parent should ever have to take. Find strength in your loved ones..

I am not your rolling wheels, I am the highway
I am not your carpet ride I am the sky
I am not your blowing wind, I am the lightning
I am not your autumn moon, I am the night
