A Possible Coup in Saudi Arabia Signals the End of US Dominance in the Mideast

Quote:If Saudi Arabia didn't already have enough worries in a fast-changing Middle East, yet another crisis hit home for the desert kingdom: alleged hospitalization of King Salman, thought to have Alzheimer's disease or some form of dementia. He only assumed the throne in January.

Quote:This turn of events comes on the heels of shocking news. London's Guardian credits claims by an anonymous Saudi prince who states that two letters have circulated among senior members of the royal family encouraging them to stage a coup against King Salman.

This could be very bad for us. Read the article for the rest of the story.

What politics from both sides wants to teach us is that things are never complex. If you have your little package and something doesn't fit into that package, You don't know what to make of it so you want to dismiss it or then you will have to do the work of reconsidering your assumptions. - Michael Malice

I'm in my seventh decade on Earth. I know things.

Not sure how much hope and change to expect if he's being overthrown by his Uncle or second cousin 13.gif

The "other" side of the family is anti western. The change would probably be huge and pro Islam and/or Russian.

Getting things in line for the upcoming break-up with the US,
to team up with Russia instead..?

Maybe that requires a new generation.

Or maybe they just can't sheik it.
