Quote:A woman walking in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County near Compton found what appeared to be a set of lungs on a sidewalk near a business, authorities said Monday.

The woman made the discovery Sunday afternoon in the 13100 block of Avalon Boulevard, took a picture of what she found and in the evening contacted the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, said Lt. Jack DeMello of the sheriff’s Century Station.

Blood and tissue samples will be used to determine if the lungs are human or animal.

That does not surprise me!

I grew up in Inglewood, CA, Century blvd..

Just hurl a rock from your front stoop and you could hit PIRU ave! Yes Compton has had its problems, but compared to WATTS, its breath of fresh air, no matter what media tells you. Born and raised in South LA, and the things you see on the daily are enough to scare you for life. It was a common practice to see sliced up and shot dogs, mostly pittbulls on the sidewalks.. no one even bothered to move them aside. Lungs on the corner, thats nothing out there... Just another day at the meat market. Where the wrong colors, be cautious. The set I grew up in was predominatley Blood... IBF, Inglewood Blood Family.. The crazy thing about south LA is that every other block is blood or crip...

We used to have a saying, if you see dogs running around the streets walking themselves, well you know your in the hood.

People get tossed in marcy river on the daily, and slauson slaughterhouse, need i say more. Watts, Jordan downs housing projects (Grape street crips) is one block away from Nickerson Gardens (The bounty hunter bloods) Two of the biggest housing projects in LA. We used to hear so many gun shots growing up, hitting the bathtub was a normal occurence. Its been 11 years since Ive been back to my old neighborhood, but it only has gotten worse.

Lungs on the sidewalk, people scoff and keep walking, the code of the street.
