Another movie I enjoyed for its wonderful nazi steampunk technology and epic story. It's loosely based on the role-playing game of the same name.

Heres the most eye opening and mind blowing action/fantasy film i've ever seen and the special effects are awesome and breathtaking showing spectacular combinations of different time periods blended and integrated together like futuristic robots fighting alongside traditional weaponry during world war one among many other equally amazing past meets future fantasy meets reality ideas and scenarios and believe me this film is a non stop visual and audio roller coaster ride thats not to be missed!

i saw it and i agree with you although i've seen better visual effects.
Undeniably some of the greatest most breathtakingly spectacular state of the art special effects have been seen and heard within these Transformers movies (*-*)

Easily one of the most disturbing and fantastic and bizarre films i've ever seen thats certainly not to be missed...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Devils_(film)

Quote: Ken Russell’s The Devils (1971) is quite frankly one of the greatest films ever made. Period. No qualifiers are necessary.

The actual events involving an outspokenly libidinous and political priest, Urbain Grandier (Oliver Reed), being accused of witchcraft by a sexually frustrated nun, Sister Jeanne of the Angels (Vanessa Redgrave), took place in France in 1634; but Russell’s film is a product of 1971.

In part, it’s the filmmaker’s reaction to our own desensitized society. It was made as deliberately shocking as possible to jolt viewers who had been numbed by nightly TV news footage of the Vietnam War into a state of awareness.

In any version, the film has drawn heat. It has been denounced as pornographic and been outright banned in many places (I wrote the program notes for a screening of it at a film festival in Finland where they showed the film in defiance of the ban).

It’s a blistering, raw attack on governmental misuse and perversion of religion to achieve its own end.

One will also find one of the very small handful of films to which the word “genius” might reasonably be applied.
