today's wine is a

mocali brunello di montalcino 2006 docg

color is ruby red with tendencies to garnet red.
smells like some kind of flowers and a little bit of vanilla (?).
tastes fruity but i can't make out what kind of fruits.^^ berries and stuff.^^ not a heavy wine.^^

not bad but i wouldn't buy it again.

edit: has a very nice finish.

Sounds excellent, I wish I didn't have such a bad reaction to sulfites.
The naturally occurring stuff I can handle, but the additives give me migraines and asthma like symptoms.

today i went to the communist store looking for some wine. i found this one:

[Image: 2009-Masi-Agricola-Campofiorin-Rosso-del-Veronese.JPG]

the cashier at the checkout didn't know the price (EUR 13 / USD 14.60 / CAD 18.10 / AUD 18.30 / GBP 9.70 - which is pretty cheap for such a good wine) and had to phone a co worker. when one of the other costumers heard that this wine is from 2009 he said "2009 - pfff. it's already expired." blonde.gif

this wine has an aging potential of about 15 years if i remember it right. lol.gif (of course only if it's stored correctly)

I don't drink any more (3 years of sobriety) but I did enjoy a glass of Merlot. I miss the odd glass of Jack more though.

I can see by your coat my friend you're from the other side. Just one thing I got to know. Who won?

Oh hell no, that was back in 2006. But on second thought the effects might have been there in 2013 still 13.gif

Took us a year to get through that absinthe I brought back. And then mostly company curious to try it, (Whaler showed quite a lot of respect after the first time lmao.gif )we never let anyone have more than two shots.

I learned from your story and stayed well away from it. wine.gif is my only poison. And the odd beer.

Guy at work the other day asked if our sleds are fan or liquid cooled. I said, Oh definitely liquid cooled, we stop and drink cold beer and the sleds cool off.

Not Much of a Wine drinker anymore, but I used to drink Blue Nun Liebfraumilch. Cheap stuff but tasted pretty good
