Mmm. It looks like a red, angry protest against something. I am thinking maybe something to do with tiny blood vessels. I mean, it began with a strange pain in your leg, but no blood clot on the scan. It's as if, when you had that pain, something did indeed happen in your leg involving blood vessels, and this is the aftermath of it. It might well take longer than a week to fade.
Nigel, don't forget the raw garlic. Most powerful wonder food ever! I am always rabbiting on about it to people. I found a quick link here, but there are more if you google it.
Raw garlic 3 times a day is an incredible immune system booster - and amazingly fast, you'll feel different within 5 minutes.
Heat, even the heat in your stomach, destroys the allicin somewhat. So the best way to take it is, peel a clove, chop it, *leave it exposed to the air for 2 minutes* (for allicin to form), then chew it/keep it in your mouth, or best of all under your tongue, for as long as you can stand the pain. You can always add bread or something, to make it go down better, but I don't. Do that three times a day, and you'll really notice its beneficial effects.
I usually eat one clove a day, and people don't believe me when I say I'm not even registered with a doctor, and have no medicine cabinet. I've had medical treatment by a doctor twice, in the last 25 years. (throat infection in 2000, and mosquito bite c. 1998; and today I wouldn't even bother, I'd just increase the garlic! :) I don't catch colds or flu. Garlic is actually stronger than amoxicillin! I have no axe to grind, I mean, I don't own shares in a garlic farm or anything. It's just an amazing superfood.
